Game:  Texas Hold 'em (limit).

Bets:  The blinds were 10p and 20p, maximum raise 50p, maximum number of raises per round of betting - 3.

Venue:  Richard's house.

Present:  Me, Richard, Craig, Andy.

Initial stake:  £10 per player.

Duration:  19:00 to 02:30ish.

Outcome:  I was up £10.50 at the end of the night.  I did good early on, as usual! Did badly in the middle part of the evening and had to rebuy, then pulled back towards the end - not that I remember much towards the end as the gin had taken hold by then...

I seemed to get beaten on the river quite a bit (but gave as good as I got!).  There were also more split pots than usual.

My best hand of the night was a straight flush 3H to 7H.

A good night was had by all.

Game:  Texas Hold 'em (limit).

Bets:  The blinds were 10p and 20p, maximum raise 50p, maximum number of raises per round of betting - 3.

Venue:  Richard's house.

Present:  Me, Richard, Craig, Andy and Neil (part).

Initial stake:  £10 per player.

Duration:  19:00 to 01:00.

Outcome:  I was up £21.10 at the end of the night.  I did good early on, beating Neil on the first hand for a big pot and keeping out of the way when some big hands hit for the others.  I did my usual and started to slide in the middle part of the game and then pulled back towards the end.

There were quite a few bad beats *again* and quite a few riverings to be had and given!!

Richard and Craig went heads up on the second or third hand (I'd folded pre-flop) and were betting and raising each other.

Richard turned over a full house 10s full of 5s and was celebrating when Craig turned over quad 5s.

Craig had quads again later in the evening, but didn't take down a very big pot with them.

I rivered an Ace high spade flush to beat Andy and also won a few other hands on luck more than skill.

A good night was had by all.

Present:  Me, Richard, Craig, Andy, Bryan and Phil (part).

Initial stake:  £10 per player.

Duration:  19:15 to 03:15.

Outcome:  I was down £19.50 at the end of the night.  I bought £5 of chips, got back up and then lost it all and rebought again.

There were quite a few bad beats *again* and quite a few riverings to be had!!

Bryan did good considering that it was his first time, solid and steady, despite an uncanny resemblance to a young David Byrne (I thought so anyhoo).

Craig insisted on calling Andy a newb all night or n00b to all you 1337 h4><0rz out there.

A good night was had by all.

Venue:  Richard's house.

Present:  Me, Richard, Craig, Andy & Walshie.

Initial stake:  £10 per player.

Duration:  19:00 to 03:15.

The Dropsy night...

(not really that sort of Dropsy, but I couldn't find a better image!)

 

Outcome:  I was £9.60 up at the end of the night.  I sold £10 of chips due to a couple of big wins early on and was up all evening.  I thought that I was going to have to use the £10 to rebuy a couple of times 'cos it got a bit close, but I managed to get back to £16.90 up by the last hand.

 

We decided that the last hand should be £5 each - no betting, just £5 in at the beginning and best hand wins (a total gamble).  Walshie won with a diamond flush.

 

There were quite a few bad beats - I had trips a couple of times to be out-kickered and also out-kicked other people on a couple of hands.

 

Andy settled in well despite his propensity to drop things on the floor all night :D
